Paul Hayden founded Hayden Services in 1974, and has over 30 years of industry experience.  I have done business in the Chicago area (3 years), in the Iowa City, Iowa area (4+ years), for about a year in southern California, and on the island of Maui in Hawaii (11 years as Seabreeze Carpet Cleaning).  Most recently, since 1994, Paul and wife Donna live in the country near Illiopolis, east of the Springfield area of central Illinois.

In 1997, with very little prior building experience, we began building a new home on part of a farm that my family had owned.  We have almost 40 acres, including roughly 22 acres of woods.  We moved into our new home in 1998, even though it was not fully finished, and we have been putting the 'finishing touches' on it ever since.  It is built out of I.C.E. blocks (insulated concrete forms made from Styrofoam), and we included a number of other energy-saving features.  Throughout this process we have learned or developed knowledge and skills that have become central to our business--we do not specialize in one thing, but offer a real variety of related services.
